A Message From nyla
Greetings Cursillo Family,
“We have this Hope as an Anchor for our souls, firm and secure.”
Hebrews 6:19
As we wait patiently ….. or not so patiently, for the weekend that means so much to each of us, we hold fast to the Anchor who is our Hope. Jesus Christ has us safe and secure even as the storms and waves rage around us. How grateful we must be for His unending faithfulness. Hebrews 6:19 is the scripture that we have chosen for our 2022 Women’s weekend. With all that has occurred since our last time together, this seems particularly fitting.
It’s been a crazy ride the last 20 months or so! In this time of respite and waiting, have you learned anything new – About yourself? About those around you? About God? I have personally witnessed a rising up of people and new creativity in how to make this “new normal” work. I’ve seen a deepening faith and fellowship as never before. I’ve watched as the church – we the church – have served our communities in ways that we had never dreamt of in the past. My friends, we are living in a most exciting and extraordinary time.
Cursillo 2022 is just around the corner. It may look a bit different this year, but I believe that God is stirring and leading, and encouraging us in fresh, new ways. I believe that we will experience a new awakening for the things of His heart. Are we ready to ask and listen and act as He leads us? YES, I believe we are!!
I stand alongside you as we forge ahead holding tightly to the Hope who is our Anchor.
Blessed to serve as your 2022 Rectora,
Nyla Gieseke
